Combines a 50W power supply with two switchable outputs and two separate handpieces: a soldering handpiece and a "tweezer-style" handpiece. The soldering handpiece allows you to do both SMT and through-hole rework. The easy-squeeze design of the Talon® "tweezer-style" handpiece provides unmatched control and comfort while removing discrete and SO symmetrical components. A cleverly designed beveled edge on tips allows you to rework several components without changing tip cartridges. Like all Metcal systems, the MX-500TS features interchangeable tip cartridges that utilize SmartHeat® technology and a compact power supply with automatic power shut-off (after 30 minutes of non-use) that maximizes the tip cartridge life. The MX-500TS system is ESD-safe and meets Mil-Specs. It operates on 100/120VAC and includes a two-port switchable power supply with power cord, soldering/rework handpiece (without tip cartridge), "tweezer-style" handpiece (without tip cartridges), (2) workstands with sponges, and (2) cartridge removal pads.
